the next chapter - our building

Scroll down to explore

Planning for the new Pioneer Campus began in 2017. After the foundation ceremony in 2019, the building was officially opened in 2023.

Its external shape is intended to symbolise the Bavarian rhombus.

The building offers 1500 square metres of modular and flexible lab space surrounded by 2300 square metres of office space. The open and transparent structure creates a dynamic working environment and facilitates dialogue within and between working groups. This not only supports cross-disciplinary exchange. The proximity of the two working areas also brings people together.

In the building 200 multidisciplinary scientists will work in 20 teams to engineer the future of global health. The long-term goal of the Pioneer Campus with this building is to attrack the next generation of scientists and give them the tools to develop new technologies.

With its spacious meeting areas, the building also provides excellent space for scientific exchange in the form of seminars, workshops or conferences. This promotes not only cooperation within the Pioneer Campus, but also the establishment of networks or collaborations worldwide.
